We are a family of five dreaming of a farm life...

OUR HOPE IS TO HAVE A FARM THAT SERVES AS AN FLOWER FARM & ART STUDIO.

We dream of having visitors come to our farm to pick flowers and then join us in our art studio to paint them! For now we continue to make memories and daydream about our farm. Read on to learn more about the family and my art journey...

We live in Manchester, New Hampshire where each season is filled with beauty and farm life. In the fall there is apple picking and pumpkin picking. The county fairs and farm activities are in full swing. The local trees are filled with glorious colors! The winter brings it's sparkling snow and cozy fires. You can go on horse-drawn carriage rides or go sledding with the kids. The Spring brings beautiful trees of flower branches that you can never take enough pictures of. The farms reopen after the long winter. All the baby animals arrive and everyone starts planting their gardens. In Summer life gets busy as New Hampshire's offerings are endless. The ocean is on the coast...lakes are everywhere throughout the state...as well as hiking mountains. There's plenty of farms and country stores to enjoy. Summer also brings the farmer's markets...the pick-your-own fruits and veggies.

DENIS

OUR SUPERMAN

Denis is a Superman to us all. He works as a new construction plumber and pipe fitter. Doing heavy lifting and sometimes climbing into the ceiling to install pipes. He is a very hard worker and great provider. He likes to make us laugh and be silly. He loves movies and spending time with his family.

ARIANNE

FOUNDER OF LILAC FARMS, ARTIST & HOMEMAKER

Arianne spends her days juggling between caring for her family, maintaining her home and running her three art shops. She enjoys being an active part of her kids daily life. Her routine usually involves doing chores and activities with the kids, cleaning and cooking, and spending time painting and promoting her shops. She is obsessed flowers and farms. She hopes with the support of her family, she can make her flower farm dreams come true!

KATELYN

OUR LITTLE MAMA

Katelyn is the oldest child in the family. She has Autism and did not start speaking until she was four. She has come a long way and with a lot of hard work she is in a mainstream class. She gets straight A's and was recently introduced into the National Junior Honor Society! She enjoys archery, drawing and listening to music. We call her 'Our Little Mama' because she has such a kind and caring spirit!

JAKE

OUR FUNNY PROFESSOR

Jake has a passion for learning and making us laugh. He keeps the family connected with conversation and checking on everyone. He is an awesome helper and knows just how to cheer you up! He loves Star Wars, The Goldbergs, comics and games. Jake is a soccer player, tap dancer and cello player!

ANNA

OUR ANIMAL LOVER

Anna has the rare combination of being sweet and feisty. She gives the best hugs and the best tea parties. She loves animals and playing with her calico critters. Anna seems to make friends where ever she goes and she has a great sense of humor. She enjoys doing ballet and hanging out with her family. 

FALLING IN LOVE WITH ART

Living in such a beautiful place can get you feeling creative. I started painting watercolors in 2014 as a way to relax. I found that I could not put the paint brush down! I was in love with the process and the result. I enjoy painting acrylic canvases as well, which have taken over the walls in our house. I opened my etsy shop soon after, adding watercolor cards, bookmarks, magnets, original paintings and canvases.

That soon lead to more interest in spreading my artist wings and I discovered other places for artists. I opened my Spoonflower shop and Society6 shop. Both are online shops where guests can shop products adorning your artwork. Spoonflower offers fabric, wallpaper and gift wrap featuring my artwork as the surface design. Society6 offers fun products like mugs, t-shirts, pillows, backpack, etc featuring my artwork. Suddenly I became a surface designer and I loved every bit of it!

FLOWER OBSESSED

Ever since I can remember I have had an obsession with flowers. I love their colors, their shapes and their beauty. I remember as a child going to the fabric store with my mother and I couldn't get enough of the little flower patterns. I am a visual person, so flowers to me are MAGIC! No matter what you are going through or how bad your day is...flowers can cheer you up. For me, I tend to feel more relaxed and take deeper breaths around flowers. You could say I'm crazy for flowers!

A WEEKLY TRADITION:

Every week I make my way over to the local flower market. I buy two or three bouquets, then I go home and disperse them through the house. Out of those bouquets I try to fill about 10 vases. I have a centerpiece on my dining room table made of a wooden basket holding three teal mason jars. That gets filled first...it's my favorite in the house. Then I have a couple vases in the living room, a couple vases in the kitchen and a couple in the girls room. Finally I grab my favorite vase of the week and sit down to paint it. I love this tradition! Not only because it fills me with joy, but also to share with my social media friends...they enjoy it too! When all is said and done I have a beautiful house and a beautiful new piece of art. This is the motivation behind my farm dream...for others to enjoy this tradition with me!

And even though we have dreams, we take pleasure in the now. Making memories and living a life filled with simple joys. 

There is magic happening all around us everyday. We just need to slow down and find it!
